Jessica Helgerson - Digging through the JHID archives

Digging through the JHID archives! .This one was on the Pacific coast, just north of my hometown of Santa Barbara. A simple warm earthy gem of a house, for some warm and earthy folks :) .Our clients’ daughter built the fabulous wave wall, one of my favorite parts of the project. My other favorite thing is the way the rust from the steel flashing ran down and stained the concrete walls. It’s often those really earthy parts, the art, the error even - that make something the most beautiful to me. .With 📷
